A beautiful day with a pod of 8 - 10 Bottlenose Dolphins turning up as were arrived at Mwnt for the first trip of the day. They weren't being very playfull and after 10 - 15 minutes decided to head north out into the bay. We didn't see them again for the rest of the days trips but did find some inquisitive seals around Cardigan Island, just under the cliffs by cardigan farm park and over at Cemaes Head. The Island is still very busy with Guillemots and Razorbills and although we didn't see it, we could hear the calls of a peregrine as we went slowly round.

What a brilliant day for sightings! Cardigan Island is very busy with auks and we also spotted a peregrine falcon as we went through Cardigan Sound. Then off to Mwnt and what a show the dolphins put on for us. We sat with a very playful pod of approx 10 bottlenose dolphins who put on an amazing jumping display, all only 20 metres from Mwnt. Then off to Camaes Head to see around 50 seals hauled out on the shingle beach. Then a quick dash back across Cardigan Bar before we lost the tide. All that in 1 trip.

This is a bit of a cheat as we weren't out on a trip, however whilst out on exercise this evening a pod of around 9 dolphins were spotted from Cardigan Lifeboat, approximately 1/4 of a mile off Cardigan Island. They were being very playful and gave a great jumping display.
