Bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic grey seals and a variety of bird life, together with a stunningly beautiful coastline and spectacular sea caves make Cardigan Bay truly “A Bay To Remember”
This wonderful weather has meant yet another great week for dolphin sightings. Regular sightings at our usual places of Mwnt and Cardigan Island plus more unusually right on Cardigan Bar in front of the Cliff Hotel. Cardigan Island is very busy with birds and the colours are beautiful. It really is the best time if the year around the island. The seals have become a bit scarce. We still manage to find the odd few on most trips but nothing like the numbers we were seeing 2-3 weeks ago. Looking forward to our 1st All Day Trip this coming Saturday 15th June. Still 2 places left! :-)
The weather has been a lot better this week and has lead to some great dolphin sightings. Today we had sightings on all our trips with one particularly awesome (& I don't use that word much!) encounter with a pod of around 5 dolphins swimming along with us as we traveled at apx 5 knots towards Mwnt. They were so close you could have touched them. I did get some video which will be on YouTube as soon as its edited.
